Watch Your Bot!

If you know me, you know that I have a haaaard time letting things go, especially if I see an opportunity to teach something, learn something or improve something.

This happened recently on LinkedIn. Someone got into my inbox and sent an initial message that didn't apply to me. Ignore. Happens 10x a DAY.

THEN their bad Bot sent a response to their own message as if I had responded to their initial message. WHAT?! Okay... NOW I have to f---k with your and your Bot. You brought it on yourself.

So I responded. With kindness, but clearly pointing out that their AI is botting up the wrong tree, wasting my time and Keith's money:

People say "why don't you just ignore it Renee", "it happens all the time on LinkedIn Renee." "It's just a meaningless BOT, Renee- delete, block, MOVE ON."

To this I say: YOU, my friend, are missing opportunities to create Bizlationships™️! To be interesting and a create a conversation that kicks out a bad Bot:

You're building walls when you could have been waving through windows. You know why cars have horns? At least one reason is to stop others from doing dumb shit that could have for consequences for others. To warn someone that they are headed for trouble.

BEEP BEEP KEITH!

I don't know if Keith and I are ever going to do business together, but I know this: our back and forth will stand out in his mind more than the basic grip and grin comms that that we all engage in and quickly forget.

Our story will be told to others and actually help people to say "Hey... maybe I should check out how AI is representing my brand!" Someone reading this blog will test their system, realize their Bot makes them look anything from absolutely inauthentic to downright foolish to potential leads, and fix it.

PRO TIP: AI is being used to represent people who have bills to pay, perks to employ and businesses to run. Instead of being apathetic and ignoring their bad Bots, be a pal and let em know with kindness and even humor, that whoever they are paying to rep their brand is basically trying to sell beef to vegans.

ALL of this is posted with Keith's permission, and something tells me his AI company has already been made aware that they better tighten up! He'll reach qualified leads who are a fit, instead of random strangers who may be rude or completely blow off his company instead of creating a blog post out of their faux pas and open the door to potential Bizlationships™️.

Something also tells me that I'll bespeaking with Keith again since he's got a great sense of humor, is unafraid to share a frustration with a total stranger, and seems like the kind of side i just might do business with... hmmm- maybe that Bot isn't so bad after all... missing, yes it is. BEEP BEEP.
