Are You Protecting your Peace or Blocking your Blessings...?

People talk a lot about the value of saying no to protecting peace, energy and space- and it's TRUE.
But, what about saying YES to grow your business, expand your network and share your expertise to lift up others...?
TWO THINGS CAN BE TRUE.
I almost said no to opportunity from Meta for Business to meet with Virginia lawmakers in the Senate. I had a book reading planned the same night and SO much book promotion work to do!

But then I remembered three things:
1) ADVOCACY MATTERS. how can I refuse a chance to let my story be known and share what they don't know about how policies effect small businesses? without participating in solutions, you can't complain about challenges. SO I SAID YES.

2) RIGHT ROOMS MATTER. I knew I would be shoulder to shoulder with other business leaders who are also busy making it happen yet made time to be part of a solution. Who am I to let a two hour commitment keep me from bringing my perspectives, that could also help them, to myself for a two day event? SO I SAID YES.

3) ENERGY MATTERS. Being in the room with humble success, driven brilliance and champions who connect, open doors to wins and celebrate you without agenda, jealousy or expectations is SO ENERGIZING.
I got more accomplished in a few quiet hours than I ever imagined and learned meta AI tricks that are content game changers.
I find out that words and support I had given to several fellow leaders had a major impact on them, and was thrilled when they shared their next chapters with me.
The belief others had in me and me in them was a palpable undeniable presence in the room. Our energy transfer and openness to pour into each other overflowed my cup with focus, gratitude, ideas and joy.
Protect your peace without blocking your blessings, and say both no AND yes with intention. Sometimes those hard YESES
are a test to challenge and reset your priorities. I'm so glad I said yes!
