I completely disagree with "experts" who say sharing personal photos and videos are a bad idea for your business on social media. A facebook group conversation inspired me to share:
💎 People like to know the person behind the service, especially if relationships are a part of your business strategy to attract the right clients. They typically result in the highest engagement and visibility on my digital profiles, and lead to people discovering the business side of me in other posts.

💎 People with similar psychographics ending up organically finding you when you post something that relates to the people you want to attract! LITERALLY free and targeted marketing without selling a thing. What "expert" can argue with THAT? If I am a karaoke geek and I see this picture- you BET I want to know more about this person who is CLEARLY in my tribe in at least one way!
(By the way, are we called Karao-Geeks? If not, we SHOULD be. Someone put that in the urban dictionary...)
💎 PRO TIP: Obviously no one needs to see you drunkenly win a wet t-shirt contest or hear every moment of your trauma or drama- being selective is a given.
💎 But seeing you unplug and prioritize family time, enjoying the life you've built as a successful entrepreneur, chilling with your dog on the deck, horseback riding in Tuscany-

Even- actually, ESPECIALLY- sober, I have horrible balance!
Vibe feel right to attract and nurture a community around your brand, or level up a wine event with an expert at pairing wine with life and experiences beyond the bottle...? Then reach out!
Yes, but... Generally, I have a few questions I recommend my clients ask themselves before posting personal stuff on a business page.
1. Does this post align with my company's values and those of my target audience?
2. If this was the first post someone ever saw for my business, would it be an accurate and favorable representation?
3. Is it relevant to my business, products, industry, niche, etc?
Things like community involvement, volunteer work, supporting or collaborating with other local businesses, BTS, or lifestyle stuff related to your industry or niche totally works.
I've had clients like a therapist who shared photos from a party and talked about their own social anxiety. This was genuine, vulnerable, on topic, and…
